A few things worth knowing before you head out.
What is FaceWook?
A place to find live music in Kentucky. Start with Tonight, This Week, or the full Calendar. You can also browse artists and venues. Here’s why we’re building it.
How do I find the right show?
Search by artist, venue, or city. Open Filters to narrow the list by the regions and genres shown, free admission, or all-ages shows. Clear filters to see everything again. These filters use the information in the listings; a missing price or age limit doesn’t mean a show is free or all ages.
Where do the listings come from? Are they always right?
We gather listings nightly from venue websites, ticketing pages, and public calendars, using automated tools including AI. People can submit shows and corrections too. Coverage is growing, so a missing show doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Check the original source before traveling or buying tickets: times, prices, lineups, and cancellations can change.
What does Just Announced mean?
Just Announced shows listings we first found in the last two weeks. It means new to FaceWook, not necessarily newly announced by the artist or venue.
Do I buy tickets here? Can I get directions or share a show?
Tickets links take you to an outside seller. FaceWook doesn’t sell the ticket or handle refunds; ask the seller or venue. Open a show for its details and source link. On a venue page, a linked address opens a map when we have an address. Use Share on a show to share it or copy its link.
Do I need an account?
You can browse shows and use the public feeds without logging in. Log in to save stars, follow artists or venues, and request control of your page. Email login uses a sign-in link rather than a password. Any other available sign-in options appear on the login page.
What’s the difference between a star and a follow?
Stars are private bookmarks for artists and venues. They do not subscribe you to email. Find and remove them in your account. Follows choose whose shows appear in My shows and which new or changed shows can trigger email updates. You can follow artists, venues, genres, and regions.
How do email updates work? How do I stop them?
When updated listings are published, FaceWook checks for new or changed shows matching your follows. If your account is opted in to email, matching changes can be emailed to you. These are listing updates, not a reminder before every show. Check your email status and manage follows in your account. Use the unsubscribe link in an update email to stop those emails. Unstarring a page does not unsubscribe you.
Can I add shows to my calendar or use a feed reader?
Yes. iCal is a calendar feed for upcoming shows; venue pages also have their own calendar feeds. Subscribe to the feed URL in your calendar app for updates. Importing a downloaded file may only add a one-time copy, and refresh timing depends on your app. RSS lets a feed reader follow newly found listings. JSON is the public event data in a format software can read. These feeds don’t require an email subscription.
How do I add a show, correct something, or give feedback?
Use Submit for a show, or the corrections and feedback form for a fix, idea, or question. Include a source link when you have one and a contact email if you want a reply. Submissions are reviewed; they do not go straight onto the site.
I’m an artist or venue. Can I edit my page?
Yes, after your claim is approved. Use Claim this page on an artist or venue page, or your account to claim an existing page or request a new one. Give us an official website, email, or other evidence so we can verify you. Approved owners can edit their bio, website, and merch link and add shows through their account. Public changes appear after the site updates, not necessarily immediately.
Can I change the colors?
Use the Theme button in the navigation to cycle between system, light, and dark. On a phone, open Menu first. System follows your device’s appearance setting; your choice is saved in this browser.
How can I help?
Send us a missing show, share a useful listing, and tell us what would make this better. Buy tickets and merch directly from the artists and venues you love. Bring someone along.
